The North American Securities Lending Forum | June 10, 2009

The securities lending market continues to hold rich promise and increasing appeal for global financial institutions, despite the impact of the tumultuous financial events of 2008. As the industry builds for future growth, the North American Securities Lending Forum will focus on the key challenges facing the global lending market and the attractiveness of its products and services to beneficial owners. Drawing on the views of key asset managers and securities lending providers operating in both onshore and offshore markets, the event will analyse the securities financing needs of hedge funds, the balance of risk and rewards securities lending offers and the impact of new regulations on the market. As part of the program, a special audience question and answer session headed by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Markets Group will cover the latest developments affecting the Daily Soma Securities Lending Program, the Term Securities Lending Facility and Treasury Market Practices Group.
