ALFI Spring Conference | March 15-16, 2011 | Luxembourg

The ALFI’s 2011 Spring Conference will centre on investor protection, the recent evolution of fund distribution trends and on regulatory changes. During the two-day event, speakers who are recognized by the fund industry for their expertise will share the results of their most recent analysis of market trends and views. The asset management sector continues to undergo unprecedented change and the conference will tackle the issues raised during this consolidation phase, as well as the arrival of UCITS IV and the new Alternative Investment Fund Managers directive.


RBC Dexia - On the agenda

Panel session: Out of the shadows into the light. Are platforms the new super distributers?

Among the topics the panel will be covering are what value data management platforms bring to asset managers in terms of data they provide on their distribution as well as the impact of the MiFID directive amendments on remuneration network, and transparency. It will also consider the question of whether some distribution platforms can survive the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and Target 2 Securities.

Olivier Portenseigne’s biography

Olivier Portenseigne has worked for RBC Dexia since 1998, latterly as Director, Product Management Shareholder Services and Distribution Support. He has been in charge of service delivery in the Shareholder Services business since February 2007. Between 2004 and 2007 he was in charge of the Distribution Support business and of its development. Olivier also spent a year at Dexia BIL private banking as a client advisor in wealth management. Olivier holds a masters degree in Economics from the University of Metz - France.
